Ghana midfielder Alice Kusi says she is looking forward to an exciting challenge as the Black Queens prepare to take on hosts Morocco in the semi-finals of the 2024 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Speaking ahead of the highly anticipated clash, Kusi dismissed any suggestion that playing the host nation would come with added pressure.
“Playing the host nation is exciting, not pressure,” she said, in remarks published by CAFOnline.
Known for her versatility and pace on the flanks, Kusi is expected to play a key role in Tuesday’s showdown.
The Black Queens advanced to the semi-finals after a hard-fought victory over Algeria in the quarter-finals on Saturday evening, showing grit and determination throughout the match.
Now, with a place in the final on the line, Kusi and her teammates are aiming to make history.
A win over Morocco in Rabat would see Ghana reach the WAFCON final for the first time since 2006.
