Kenya coach Benni McCarthy has cautioned his side to remain calm ahead of their quarterfinal clash against Madagascar in the ongoing 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament.
The Harambee Stars remain the only unbeaten side, having recorded three wins and a draw from their four matches.
Kenya clash with Madagascar for a place in the last four tonight at the Moi Sports Centre, Kasarani, Nairobi.
Ahead of the game, McCarthy has urged his players not to get carried away by their success so far.
“There is still much more hard work to come from us; we will be ready for tomorrow (Friday),” he said.
“We will have our last training session and work on a few things, so I think calmness is what we need for the occasion, so that it doesn’t become a huge task for the players.
“We must keep our feet on the ground, stay humble, and just enjoy the ride that we are on, and I am looking forward to tomorrow.
“Hopefully, we can do ourselves, our families proud again, but on top of it all, the nation, and fans that have always come out to support us,” he added.
Kick off for the game has been scheduled for 17:00 GMT.
