Black Galaxies coach Didi Dramani has turned his focus to the return leg against Nigeria in the 2024 Championship for African Nations (CHAN) qualifiers.
Ghana were held to a pulsating goalless draw at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, as both teams struggled to find the net in the crucial clash.
The Black Galaxies will travel to Nigeria for the return encounter on December 28, 2024.
The winner of the tie qualifies to compete at next year’s CHAN tournament that will be held in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
“We are not even thinking about it, we are just thinking about how to prepare and get to Nigeria and get to the pitch and play.” He said.
Meanwhile, Didi Dramani insists there are a lot of positives to pick from despite the stalemate.
“When we don’t qualify, there is still (a) positive. What is positive about this is that, these boys have been exposed to a certain level of our Ghanaian league and this is the page that we want to print out that we are expressing our domestic competition structure to the rest of Africa and the world.”
Ghana edged out Nigeria on penalties two years ago to secure a spot in the last edition and are seeking for a second consecutive qualification over their West African rivals.
