Geoffrey Kondogbia leads the squad announced by François Zahoui for the start of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next week. The Valencia midfielder, who missed action in October due to injury, is expected to play a key role as the team faces Burundi on November 13 in Bangui, followed by a clash with Mauritania on November 19.
The list also opens the door for Lionel Zouma to make his international debut. Although called up in 2017, Kurt Zouma’s brother did not feature in the friendly against Equatorial Guinea, making this a potential first appearance for him.
Other notable inclusions in the 22-man squad are Amos Youga and Cédric Yambéré, both expected to provide additional depth and experience as the team begins its qualifying campaign under Zahoui’s guidance.
The squad balances seasoned internationals with emerging talents, aiming to start the qualifiers strongly and secure a favorable position in their group.
