Togo coach Claude Le Roy has announced his squad for the first two matches of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, with clashes against Comoros and Kenya on the horizon.

The main highlight of this selection is striker David Henen. The Charleroi forward, who was previously called up for October friendlies but missed out due to injury, returns to the squad and is expected to provide a spark in attack.

The rest of the squad features a mix of experienced internationals and locally based players. Defenders Djene Dakonam, Steven Lawson, Kodjo Laba, Floyd Ayité, and Mathieu Dossevi bring continuity and leadership to the backline.

Togo has also included five players from its domestic league: goalkeeper Aigba Abdoul-Moubarack, defenders Ama Tchoutchoui and Bodé, and midfielder Marouf Tchakei. Their inclusion underlines Le Roy’s intention to balance international experience with homegrown talent.

Togo will open their qualifiers at home against Comoros on November 14 in Lomé, before traveling to Nairobi to face Kenya on November 18.
