Oscar Tabarez, the coach of Uruguay, has announced a preliminary squad of 25 players for the upcoming 2014 World Cup. The list includes stars like Luis Suarez, the Premier League’s top scorer and Player of the Season, and Edinson Cavani, the PSG forward.
One notable absence from the list is Sebastian Abreu, a semi-finalist with Uruguay in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. However, Diego Lugano from West Bromwich Albion is included in the squad.
