Uganda secured a 2-1 victory against Angola in the 5th day of the World Cup qualifiers, temporarily taking the lead in Group J. Despite trailing after a goal from Angola’s Job in the 57th minute and being numerically disadvantaged due to Wasswa’s expulsion in the 62nd minute, Uganda managed to turn the tide. Okwi equalized in the 83rd minute, and Mawejje scored the winning goal in the last minute. This success allowed Uganda to move ahead of Senegal in the group standings by two points. Senegal will play against Liberia in their 5th-day match.
