Senegalese supporters, known as the “12th Gaïendé,” have arrived in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, to support their national team in the play-off matches against Ivory Coast for the 2014 World Cup qualification. The supporters traveled on a special flight chartered by the Senegalese authorities. Notably, four ministers from the current Senegalese government and former Prime Minister Souleymane Ndéné Ndiaye are among those who made the trip to rally behind the Lions of Teranga. The Senegalese fans are determined to be present in Abidjan to cheer for their team and contribute to the push for World Cup qualification.
