As previously announced, Nigeria’s national football team, the Super Eagles, will be participating in the “Road to Brazil” tournament scheduled in the United States in May and June. In preparation for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, the Super Eagles have finalized the dates for two friendly matches.
On June 3, Nigeria will compete against Greece in Philadelphia, followed by a match against the United States on June 7 in Jacksonville, Florida. These fixtures will serve as crucial preparation for Stephen Keshi’s squad before their World Cup campaign. Notably, Nigeria is also scheduled to face Mexico on March 5 as part of their pre-tournament preparations.
In the 2014 World Cup, Nigeria has been placed in Group F alongside Iran, Bosnia, and Argentina. The “Road to Brazil” tournament is set to feature other qualified teams such as Ivory Coast, Honduras, Bosnia, and reigning world champions Spain.
