After Ghana’s resounding 6-1 victory over Egypt in the first leg of the World Cup play-offs for Brazil 2014, coach Kwesi Appiah remains cautious and emphasizes the need for preparation and focus for the return match in Egypt. Despite the historic defeat inflicted on Egypt, Appiah stresses the importance of not underestimating their opponents and treating the second leg as a new challenge. The return match is scheduled for November 19 in Cairo, and Appiah aims to ensure the qualification of the Black Stars by maintaining a competitive mindset. If successful, it would mark Ghana’s third consecutive qualification for the World Cup, following appearances in 2006 and 2010.
