The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon are stepping up their preparations for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, with all 28 players present in Austria for the training camp, except for Benoit Assou Ekotto. The veteran defender’s absence is due to ongoing professional commitments with his club in England.
Under the guidance of coach Volker Finke, the Cameroonian squad is working hard in training sessions to get ready for their World Cup challenge. After the sessions, Samuel Eto’o and his teammates had a meeting with the coaching staff, and a crucial discussion about the team’s bonuses for the tournament is also on the agenda.
The camp, which runs until May 31, will feature friendly matches against Macedonia and Paraguay, providing an opportunity for the team to fine-tune their tactics and build chemistry before heading to Brazil.
