Burkina Faso has reportedly filed an appeal against the match referee, Senegalese Badara Diatta, following their defeat to Algeria in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers. Diatta confirmed the news on his Twitter account, stating that he received an email from FIFA notifying him of Burkina Faso’s reservation against him. The appeal is said to be related to decisions made by the referee during the match, including denying a goal to Burkina Faso and not sending off an Algerian player for a foul.
