Algeria Kicks Off World Cup Preparations with Training Camp at Sidi Moussa
Algeria has officially begun its preparations for the upcoming World Cup, with a training camp set to take place at the Sidi Moussa National Technical Center. Head coach Vahid Halilhodžić has laid out plans to bring the team together ahead of the tournament, although the squad remains a work in progress.
As of now, only one player has been confirmed for the camp: Watford defender Essaïd Belkalem. Belkalem will be joined on Saturday by another teammate, while the remaining players are expected to arrive in due course.
The full squad is not expected to assemble until after the conclusion of the European Championships, with Halilhodžić awaiting the return of his players from club commitments before finalizing the team for World Cup preparations.
