Ghana Face Tough Group at 2014 World Cup
Ghana are set to face a daunting challenge at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, drawn into Group G alongside Germany, Portugal, and the United States.
Coach James Appiah has named a 23-man squad, featuring experienced forward Asamoah Gyan, who will play in his third World Cup. Defender John Boye, who played with Gyan at Rennes, described the captain as both a mentor and a “father figure” in the squad.
The Black Stars aim to build on their impressive 2010 campaign, where they came within a penalty shootout of reaching the semi-finals.
